Roadmap

What's being built, in the open.

Everything on this page is in development, not shipped. It describes work we plan to do, tracked as public GitHub issues. Nothing here is available in Remnic today. To see where each item stands, read the issue tracker.

Desktop capture and meeting intelligence

Epic: issue #1896

Remnic will capture what happens on your machine and turn meetings into memory, keeping transcription local where the hardware allows.

Desktop audio and local speech-to-text

Remnic will record desktop audio and transcribe it with a local speech-to-text model, so meeting text will not have to leave your machine. #1897

Meeting cloud connectors

Connectors for Granola, Fireflies, and Otter will pull existing meeting notes and transcripts into your memory store. #1898

Screen capture

Remnic will capture on-screen context on demand to enrich what it remembers about a session. #1899

Meeting summaries

Remnic will summarize captured meetings into structured notes and durable memories. #1900

Location context via self-hosted Reitti

Epic: issues #1974 to #1977

Remnic will connect to a self-hosted Reitti instance to add where-you-were context to your memories. Coordinates will be opt-in and will stay on infrastructure you control.

Narrative day timeline and work journal

Epic: issues #1978 to #1986

Remnic will assemble a narrative timeline of your day and a running work journal from the memories it already stores.

Day timeline

Remnic will stitch captured events into a readable account of what happened and when. #1978

Obsidian publishing

Remnic will publish the journal to an Obsidian vault so your notes and your memory will stay in sync. #1985

X (Twitter) connector

Epic: issue #2009

A connector will sync your X (Twitter) activity into Remnic so posts and threads will become searchable memory.

Open Knowledge Format portability

Epic: issues #1946 to #1951

Remnic will adopt the Open Knowledge Format so your memory will be portable across tools that speak the same standard.

OKF bundle conformance

Remnic will produce and validate OKF bundles that conform to the shared specification. #1946

Import and export

Remnic will import from and export to OKF, letting you move memory in and out without lock-in. #1951

How to influence this

These items live as open issues, not a fixed contract. Comment on an epic, open a new issue, or send a pull request to shape what ships and in what order. Everything is discussed on the public GitHub issue tracker.
